Celtics take down Lob City 94-85
The Good - The Celtics got a huge win after a tough loss to the Lakers. In what was thought to be a tough match-up against a young athletic team on the second night of a back to back, the Celtics brought chippiness and aggressive defense against the Clippers. The best part was the Steamer and Blake taking shots at each other. It was reported that Stiemsma made fun of the KIA’s MPG, which set Blake off.
The Bad – Sneakiness. A word probably made up, but a word that can describe this game. There was a 9-0 run by the Celts, followed by a 17-3 run by the Clips, followed by another 9-0 run by the Celtics, and that all happened in the 4th quarter. Although the Celtics got the best of those runs, it still shows that at times this offense can be both sloppy or explosive depending on the rotations. The Celtics need to show more consistency.
The Good News - Ainge officially announced that Rondo will not be traded. This is good news for any Celtic’s fan, even though not all fans might agree. Rondo is this teams future, and although he has some weaknesses, he will be a great floor general for years to come. Plus his ability to confuse reporters with his often contradictory statements gives him bonus points in my book.
